The Anglican Mission of Southern Maryland

We are a lay led Orthodox Anglican worship group, formed in early 2005.  We presently meet each Sunday morning just of Leonardtown Square, at 41695 Fenwick St. Unit 3, Leonardtown MD.  Our worship schedule is one Sunday of Holy Communion brought to us on the second Sunday of each month by a visiting Anglican District of Virginia (ADV) priest and all other Sundays being Morning Prayer.  Periodically we are blessed to have other Sundays where an Anglican priest will bring us the sacramental ministry of Holy Communion.

Our discipline of worship is taken from the 1662 Book of Common Prayer (BCP) and those BCPs based on the 1662, most notably the use of the 1928 BCP.

Our current membership is 15.

We believe in:

The primacy of Scripture, the uniqueness of Jesus Christ as the ultimate truth, and the confession of faith found in the Nicene and Apostle's Creeds.

We exist to:

1) Provide a theologically sound place of worship that values the primacy of the Bible and the orthodox Anglican understanding of Scripture, and

2) Support one another in the pursuit of Bible study that will reinvigorate our faith through: knowledge of the Word of God, a relationship with Jesus Christ, and the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
